Cerebralive is Cerebra's new user - friendly web application product, born as a solution to link various departments, beginning with the marketing department, allowing online purchases of Cerebra's products viz., Desktop, Server, Notebooks, giving the entire configuration of standard and advanced products, with the price which is calculated online. It enables the marketing executives to contact and interact with several customers simultaneously. This system allows the marketing executive to give a discount to prospective clients, however, if the discount given is beyond the margin alloted to the executive, a package is automatically generated for the approval of the Regional Manager hence maintaining workflow without any encumbrance or delay.

As a leading PC manufacturer in India, marketing a range of desktops, servers, laptops and other peripherals, Cerebra needs to deliver up - to - date information to its nationwide branches, dealers and customer. This information includes prices, availability, delivery schedule, order status and the current promotional schemes.

The site enables a user to make informed decisions on purchasing a PC best suited to his/her requirements. The complete range of models from Cerebra can be viewed on a browser. The user can initially select a base model and configure it according to his/her choice using the options provided. As a PC is being configured, the user can keep an eye on the running cost, which is immediately made visible on the screen.

To help a user configure, well - planned help screens explaining the various options are presented. In case a customer wishes a demo, he/she is informed of the nearest demo center and an appointment convenient to the customer is scheduled.

Upon user request, the configured items are placed on a shopping cart for purchase. The customer can then view the quotation on - line and print it locally. The system is user friendly to the extreme. For example, if for any reason the customer is not able to complete the purchase, he/she is allowed to save the shopping cart. Later, after a few hrs, days, weeks etc., the customer can log on the site, retrieve the saved shop cart and continue shopping.

Marketing Executive's Desktop

The site provides Cerebra's marketing executives with the latest price figures of each of the models and their individual components. It enables marketing personnel to generate a quotation ( for a corporate customer ) based on their pricing model. The executive can negotiate with the customer and regenerate a modified quotation any number of times. These quotations can be sorted and later retrieved for future reference.

The system allows a marketing executive to work with several customers at the same time. When an executive reaches the limit of the discount that he/she is authorized to grant, the system automatically generates a note for approval by the Regional Manager. The workflow involved is automated.

Regional Manager's Desktop

The system provides the Regional Manager with a bird's eye view of the prospective customers that marketing executives are pursuing. It presents him/her with a list of proposals for approval. If the discount offered exceeds his/her margins, the Regional Manager can get the corporate Office involved and negotiate. In addition, the resource expended by the executives in securing an order is tracked and presented to the Regional Manager for surveillance.
